Flights can be typically boring unless an out-of-the-blue incident makes them extraordinary, notwithstanding airline harassment of passengers or vice versa.?
But sometimes pilots and air hostesses take the task upon themselves to give people a reason to feel happy about. A few lucky passengers were in for a big treat when they boarded the plane from?Detroit to Oklahoma City.
Little did they know that pilot Jon Emerson and flight attendant Lauren Gibbs were about to get engaged and that they would share their special moment with the passengers.?

Both Emerson and Gibbs knew that it was a special day for the both of them as it happened to be their anniversary. But Gibbs didn't know that her boyfriend had a surprise planned for her.

After informing the passengers about the flight time, altitude, and the likelihood of turbulence, Emerson whipped out a personal speech for Gibbs.?
He introduced Gibbs to the cabin and said, "This is a very special day for Lauren and me. It¡¯s our anniversary today and she¡¯s one of our very best flight attendants." He added,?"I want this day to be known for the rest of our lives. I want to spend the rest of my life with her."
At this point, he fished out the ring from his pocket, went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. And she said yes!?

The entire proposal was recorded on camera by an off-duty pilot whom Emerson had apprised in advance, reports The Independent.?
Gibbs shared the video and pictures of her engagement ring on Facebook. The video has over 2 lakh shares and counting. In a follow-up post, Gibbs thanked everyone who congratulated the couple.?
