Early on Friday, the first commercial flight to view the Aurora Australis landed in New Zealand and everyone on board?was left startled.?
Boeing 767 with?130 star-struck passengers suddenly became popular when flyers shared their experience on social media.?
The eight-hour long flight took off from the South Island on Thursday and flew to a latitude of 62 degrees south, where organisers said passengers were guaranteed a view of the aurora.

¡°A lot of people were like kids at Christmas,¡± said?Mark Hathaway, a TVNZ reporter, as reported by The Guardian.
"Passengers spent roughly 4 hours on the flight witnessing this magical show and were back home in time for breakfast," he added.
Following the popularity and the success of the event, organisers are planning a second flight next year and I now know where I am heading for vacation!?
