Bigg Boss Fans, Calm Down! Stop Trending 'Love Jihad' As The Picture Going Viral Is Not From This Season

The show known only for its controversies has begun. It has not even been a week that Bigg Boss 13 began and it has already become the eye of the storm. From Koena Mitra talking about her abusive Turkish ex-boyfriend threatening to burn her passport to #BoycottBiggBoss trending for allegedly promoting Love Jihad, the show has irked the audience already.

Audiences were apparently miffed that the makers have given all the housemates a partner, also known as BFF (Bed Friends Forever). According to BFF, contestants were given random bed partner. In some cases, boys were paired along with girls.

Mahira Sharma, one of the contestants, was paired along with Asim Riaz. This has been given a Hindu-Muslim angle by the fans.

Now, a black and white picture from Bigg Boss showing two contestants, a girl and boy, being a little intimate is doing the rounds. People suspected that it is from Bigg Boss 13, and it shows Kashmiri Muslim man Asim Riaz along with Brahmin woman Mahira Sharma.

And so, people thought that Bigg Boss 13 is promoting ‘Love Jihad’ and they demanded Bigg Boss to be boycotted. Take a look!

But turns out, this picture is not from this season. The picture, in fact, is from Bigg Boss season 9 and shows contestants Suyyash Rai and Kishwar Merchant, who entered as a couple and are now married.

Meanwhile, the original Saki Saki girl, Koena Mitra in one of the earlier episodes of Bigg Boss 13 opened up about her “possessive” Turkish boyfriend who once threatened to burn her passport. According to reports, she was talking about Mete Meral, who was a pilot, it is said.

In the episode, she tells the housemates that she was dating a Turkish man about seven years ago and the relationship ended with bitterness. “He was from Turkey. Initially, everything was going good but slowly things started changing and he became possessive about me. The extent was reached when he once locked me in the bathroom of my house so that I could not go to work. He once told me that when you come to Turkey, I will burn your passport so that you will not be able to go back."

Koena Mitra and Mett Merral had reportedly broken up in 2007 after dating for about a year or two.
