100 Foot Wave Season 3 OTT Release Date: Some chase peace. Others chase glory. But for a small group of fearless surfers, the chase is for something that most people wouldn’t even dare to imagine - a 100-foot wave. HBO’s gripping documentary series 100 Foot Wave is back with its third season, and it’s bringing more waves, more danger, and more human stories than ever before. In India, you can watch Season 3 on JioHotstar starting May 2, 2025.

What is 100 Foot Wave about?

Created by Chris Smith, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, 100 Foot Wave follows big wave surfing legend Garrett McNamara and a global community of surfers as they take on nature’s wildest waves. The third season takes the adventure even further. It continues to follow Garrett, his wife Nicole, and their growing family.

We also meet returning and new surfers like Andrew “Cotty” Cotton, CJ Macias, Justine DuPont, Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca, Nic von Rupp, Kai Lenny, Pedro “Scooby” Vianna, Tony Laureano, Ian Cosenza and Michelle des Bouillons. Together, they ride waves in locations around the world — from Nazaré in Portugal (where Garrett made history in 2011) to Cortes Bank in the Pacific, Safi in Morocco, Montaldo in Italy, and the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational in Hawaii.

• Chapter I: “Risk” (May 1) - Garrett heads back to Nazaré after a health scare. But the season’s first big swell throws unexpected challenges at everyone.
• Chapter II: “Undertow” (May 8) - Garrett suffers a serious injury. Tragedy hits Nazaré while other surfers reflect on life, fear, and family.
• Chapter III: “Cortes Bank” (May 15) - The team sets sail for a legendary open-ocean surf spot. Garrett battles memories of a painful past as others seek the wave of a lifetime.
• Chapter IV: “The Eddie” (May 22) - World-class surfers gather in Hawaii for a rare competition. Garrett is left out, sparking some soul-searching.
• Chapter V: “Family Business” (May 29) - After moving to Italy, Garrett tries to slow down, but the waves keep calling. A last-minute trip to Morocco brings old friends together again.
