Bigg Boss OTT 2: Pooja Bhatt Reveals Reason Behind Divorce, Says She Didn't Want To Have Kids

Because of Pooja Bhatt's participation in Bigg Boss OTT 2, significant information regarding her history has come to light. She has talked openly about beating her alcohol addiction, divorce and alot more. She also emphasised how it's harder for women because they're not even meant to be drinking in public during a conversation with fellow contestant Cyrus Broacha.

?Pooja discussed how her father Mahesh Bhatt's one message inspired her to stop drinking in the most recent episode.

Pooja revealed to Bebika Dhurve that she had casually been texting her father one day when she told him how much she loved him.?

He retaliated, saying that she should love herself first because he dwells inside her if she truly loved him.

“That was like a wake-up call to me and after that, I did not touch alcohol ever. That did it for me. Love can move mountains. It healed my life. The next day I quit alcohol and it’s been six years now I’ve not touched it,” she said.

The actor-director also revealed that losing her father and having to live without him is one of her greatest fears. The longest she will avoid him is until Bigg Boss OTT 2, she said. Mahesh Bhatt had reportedly asked Pooja what if she never saw him again on his previous birthday. She reportedly warned him not to "leave an emotional cripple" behind, according to Pooja.?

“Wherever you would watch me, I will radiate. Otherwise what’s the point of being your daughter if I go back to the same old habits, and apne aap ko bottle mein kho dun?”

Pooja Bhatt also said that her father had abstained from drinking for 30 years. She said according to Indianexpress, “People in the industry would say Mahesh Bhatt se kabhi sharab nahi chootegi. He would drink in front of everyone in public and would sometime trip over also.”?

She added. “But when your downfall starts, even your close ones will make you realise that you need money for alcohol and you don’t have it and you are not even successful. He just quit one day randomly.”

She also spoke about parting ways with her ex-husband. Pooja Bhatt and Manish Makhija got divorced in 2014.

She said that despite loving kids, she didn't want to have children and she couldn't lie. She can't live a lie, even at the risk of never meeting anyone. She didn't want the blame game to begin when we mislead.?

Pooja said It was excellent whatever it was. They said their goodbyes with grace.
