¡®Boycott Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper' trends on X: Backlash over portrayal of chartered accountants
Netflix's upcoming web series Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper has found itself in a controversy around chartered accountants. Several people brought out the show's negative portrayal of chartered accountants once the trailer for it was released. Many began posting their thoughts on X with the hashtag #BoycottCATopper. Some on the internet are not happy about the show's ploy which features a CA topper called Tribhuvan Mishra (Manav Kaul) who works as an escort on the side.

Reacting to the trailer, one wrote, ¡°Please Take action Netflix released a trailer on CA topper and Content shows disrespectful for entire CA community.¡±
Another added, ¡°This seems like a direct attempt to hurt the sentiments of the C.A. community. This is absolutely unacceptable. @theicai @bosaicai, kindly take appropriate actions.¡±
A third went on add, ¡°This is not acceptable at all , nowadays everyone using #CA for these kinds of things that ultimately destroy its reputation. @theicai should take strict action so that in future these kinds of things will not happen again.¡±
While demanding to stop the release, another wrote, ¡°As a Chartered Accountant, I am deeply offended by the vulgarity in the trailer for your upcoming release. This portrayal undermines the dignity of our profession. I urge you to reconsider releasing this?@theicai request you to take immediate action to address this disrespect.¡±
