Daaku Maharaaj OTT Release Update: Bollywood star Bobby Deol recently made his Telugu debut with this Nandamuri Balakrishna film and earned massive praise for his performance. Released in theatres worldwide on January 12th, this period drama has so far earned Rs 113.5 crore at the box office. If you are wondering where to watch it on OTT, then according to a Hindustan Times report, Daaku Maharaaj will be streaming on Netflix from February 9, 2025.
Other than Bobby and NBK, the movie also starred Urvashi Rautela, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Chandini Chowdary, Rishi, Veda Agarwal, Pradeep Rawat, Aadukalam Naren, Shine Tom Chacko, Ravi Kishan, Sachin Khedekar, VTV Ganesh and Makarand Deshpande among others. Directed by Bobby Kolli, Daaku Maharaaj is produced by Sai Soujanya and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios.
In 1996, philanthropist Krishnamurthy and his granddaughter Vaishnavi were threatened by criminals involved in illegal activities on his tea estate. Former dacoit leader Sitaram (Daaku Maharaaj) secretly protects them, revealing his past and fighting off the attackers. With his help, they confront the criminals, culminating in Maharaaj killing the villainous Balwant.
In flashbacks to 1992, Maharaaj was once an engineer who became a dacoit after his village was destroyed by corrupt landlords. He exposed their illegal activities and fought for justice, leading to the closure of their mines and the construction of a dam. In 1996, Maharaaj learns Vaishnavi is his late wife¡¯s daughter and avenges her death by defeating the criminals.
