Matthew Perry's untimely demise on October 28th has shattered the hearts of millions of fans across the globe. For many, it feels like a personal loss.?
Tributes haven't stopped pouring in ever since the news broke. People, across generations, have been sharing how FRIENDS and especially Chandler Bing helped them cope with difficult situations and pulled them out of darkness.?
Many even shared their favourite moments from the show, specially the last episode where the six friends Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe bid their final goodbyes and the plot depicts them moving ahead in life.?
Well, that's because Joey got his own show once FRIENDS wrapped up in 2004! Not many people know but Matt LeBlanc aka Joey Tribbiani got his very own spin-off series which ran for two seasons between 2004-2006.?
It starred the dimwitted but affable Joey Tribbiani who leaves New York and heads to Los Angeles to make it big in Hollywood. With all his friends moving ahead in life, this seemed like the best plan for the aspiring actor as Days Of Our Lives and his other acting gigs weren't cutting it anymore.?
He was accompanied by one of his seven sisters, Gina who is shown to be as promiscuous as him. She has a son Michael who has a hard time conversing with the opposite sex. The other characters include Joey's whimsical landlady, fellow actor and friend Zach and his agent Roberta because Estelle passed away.
In the two seasons, we get to see Joey's escapades in the West Coast. Interestingly, the spin-off did not have the same writers as the OG show which is why the humour had a noticeable difference. It couldn't create the same magic and suffered from poor ratings. After 46 episodes, the show got cancelled. Its recall value was so diminishing that people forgot about it completely.?
After a lot of research, I couldn't find it on any streaming platforms - national and international both. However, some of the episodes are available on Daily Motion.?
