HBO has also disclosed the roles that a number of new cast members will play. Among them are Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
They unite with returning cast members Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Eve Best, and Steve Toussaint. Emmy-nominated House of the Dragon, which takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, is based on events described in George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood, which is a history of the Targaryen dynasty's rise and fall. Rhaenyra Targaryen, the eldest child, was appointed the official successor by King Viserys I, who was crowned as the series' first protagonist in 2022.
George R.R. Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal co-created the series. Together with Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, and Vince Gerardis, they serve as executive producers.
In India, the show will release on Jio Cinema.
