Despite being unaffected by the SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike which began in May 2 and lasted till September 27, House Of The Dragon season 2 will not be releasing any time soon.
As per a latest report, HBO cheif Casey Bloys has revealed that it will only premiere in the early summer of 2024. He?shared the news during a New York press event where the sophomore chapter's first trailer was also showcased, as per a report by Variety.?
House of the Dragon premiered on HBO in August 2022 and? is based on George R R Martin¡¯s book Fire & Blood, a history of House Targaryen set 300 years before the events described in ¡°Game of Thrones¡±, which ended its eight-season run in 2019.

Going by the latest development, the show will release in early summer which means somewhere in April-May of 2024. No official date has been released so far.

While the show will release on HBO Max across the world, in India, since HBO Max is not available it will most likely release on JioCinema as the first season is available to stream on the same platform and it is also the official streamer for HBO shows.
