People's perceptions of some fictional characters have been demonstrated time and again. You're all certainly familiar with the controversy surrounding the rumor that one of the Made in Heaven episodes was inspired by Salman Khan and Katrina's love story but that it was just hearsay.?
Currently, some are making analogies to Tara Khanna, the lead character played by Sobhita Dhulipala.?
According to a recent Reddit thread, Rani Mukerji is the Tara Khanna of Made In Heaven in real life.
Talking about the same, one wrote, ¡°I was watching Made in Heaven and recently saw her interview with Anupama Chopra . I can¡¯t stop thinking about the parallels. The poor Mukerji who was forced into movies and stardom by her ¡°lalchi¡± mom (smart woman in Rani¡¯s words) and then climbed up the ladder and how! She became the number 1 actress , terrific at her job and then married the scion of YRF, the biggest producer of India(we all know how!) It¡¯s a rags to riches story. Rani is also very simple at heart like Tara is but has evolved into a completely different person due to circumstances. Both are sharp and would stop at nothing to maintain their status. Well played Rani !¡±
A user said, ¡°For every Tara, there is an Adil. Morality has probably more questions for Adi Chopra who was married.¡±
A second wrote, ¡°Tara is basically many women who rose from rags to riches thanks to a man's power and money! In the entertainment industry, there are many women like that.¡±
A third went on to add, ¡°I think Divya KK can also be included???¡±
A fourth wrote, ¡°I see where you're coming at with this but the thing is, Tara in MIH got her entire privilege and identity via marriage. After securing her position as Adil's wife, she started a wedding planning agency. On the other hand, Rani was an A-List actress way before she married the Chopra scion so it wasn't an obvious case of social climbing purely through matrimony as with Tara. Of course, this doesn't take away from the fact that marrying Aditya Chopra has given her clout and power for a lifetime, way beyond what she would have gotten even as an A List actress.¡±
In response to the Made in Heaven issue, Anurag Kashyap spoke out in favor of the episode¡¯s director, Neeraj Ghaywan. Anurag talked openly about the controversy surrounding the fifth episode of Made in Heaven Season 2 (directed by Neeraj Ghaywan), in which Radhika Apte plays a Dalit woman who chooses a Buddhist wedding.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anurag said, ¡°I get scared for people I care about when they get attacked. I have seen the entire journey of Neeraj Ghaywan and the time he took to find the courage to speak up and then I saw him get cancelled in a day on social media. I got very affected by that because he got cancelled by people without them understanding the issue.¡±
Anurag further added, "It¡¯s a debatable issue¡ You (Yashica Dutt) are not really concerned about the issue because then you can¡¯t be two-sided. You are attacking this guy (Neeraj Ghaywan)¡ So, if you are only looking for validation then to me, you look like an opportunist and nothing more than that. And I have seen that man (Neeraj) who found courage to be the voice, struggle, shrink because he got attacked by his very people. Then what is important in this day and age when we talk about representation? Is representation more important than self? Is yourself bigger than the representation? Because then you are a false self. You are a badge wearer. You are not really representing something and that makes me angry.¡±
