Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was... OTT release date is fixed. The comedy special will be released on OTT platform Netflix in a few days. The Oscar and Grammy winner was hospitalised in Atlanta in April 2023 after suffering a sudden and severe medical issue. In the comedy special, he will discuss the same topic. Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…will be released on Netflix on 10th December 2024. Th teaser was shared with the caption,?“The story we’ve been waiting for. Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was... premieres globally December 10, only on Netflix.”

Plot

While receiving recognition from the African American Film Critics Association earlier this year, Foxx said he would eventually tell the world what had happened to him, but he intended to "do it in a funny way," according to Variety.

Cast and crew

Hamish Hamilton is the special's director, and Foxx, Datari Turner, Marcus King, James Longman, Raj Kapoor, Hamilton, and Katy Mullan are its executive producers. Done + Dusted and Foxxhole Productions are the producers of "What Had Happened Was." On January 17, Foxx will return to Netflix with "Back in Action," an action comedy he was working on with Cameron Diaz when he experienced a medical issue.

Reacting to the teaser, one wrote, “Yeah dude. WHAT HAPPENED?”

Another added, “So he refused to say what happened to him because he wanted to make money out of it? Greedy.”

A third went on to add, “I really want to know what the hell actually happened.”
