Action is the new ‘it’ thing in the film industry these days! Ever since Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan broke the records, it’s action galore in the industry. However, some actors fit these roles like a glove and no one can beat Shahid Kapoor when it comes to narrating the tales of the dark world!

From chocolate hero to king of the dark world!

In his initial years in the industry, he was deemed as the chocolate hero probably because we would only see him in rom-coms.? ?

However, ever since his affiliation with Vishal Bhardwaj happened, things changed for the better. Bhardwaj showcased his true potential like no other!

It all began with 2009’s Kaminey in which he portrayed a double role of rugged awesome brothers! How can one forget - “Main f ko f bolta hoon!”, right?

Haider went on to fetch him his due recognition which was followed by Rangoon which didn’t open to a huge response but Shahid proved that he’s not meant to just to chocolate hero roles.

His recently released web series Farzi has managed to break several records thanks to an edge-of-the-seat plot and fabulous performances. While the season 2 feels like eons away, Kapoor is back with yet another offering - Bloody Daddy!

This Ali Abbaz Zafar directorial is the official adaptation of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche.

The trailer opens with Shahid making a suave entry with a thrilling background score. He looks menacing in a dapper suit and has a knife in his hands. He then beats several goons to pulp. By this moment, most of us are trying to figure out what exactly this film is about. Enter Sanjay Kapoor, who puts our thoughts to words as he frustratingly asks, “What the fuck is happening?”

The cat finally gets out of the bag as we are told - , “It’s all about the mafia, drugs, cops, family and lots and lots of blood.”?

Apart from Shahid, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Diana Penty also play pivotal roles in the film.?

Talking about his experience of working on Bloody Daddy, Shahid had said, “I had a great time doing an action film. I really enjoyed working with Ali. He understands the genre very well. The dilemma now is that if you’re doing something of this scale on OTT, what do you do on the big screen? So we have to figure that out. But it’s been a blast.”
