Pokémon Horizons Season 2: The Search for Laqua Part 2 OTT Release Date - If you're a Pokémon fan, this one’s for you! The exciting second season of this hit show is back with the second part, and it’s all set to land on Netflix from April 25, 2025. Whether you grew up watching Ash and Pikachu or you’ve just joined the new generation of Pokémon trainers, this new arc promises action, emotion, and adventure like never before.
Pokémon Horizons introduced us to a brand-new era of the Pokémon anime. Instead of Ash Ketchum, we now follow Liko, Roy, and their friends as they journey across regions, uncovering new stories and mysteries. One of the biggest mysteries so far? The legend of Lucius, a powerful trainer from the past, and the hidden location known as Laqua.
In Part 1 of Season 2, we saw our new heroes traveling with the Rising Volt Tacklers led by the calm and collected Friede and his partner Pokémon Captain Pikachu. Liko and Roy set off to learn more about Lucius’s Six Heroes and how they connect to their own Pokémon and their personal growth.
In Part 2, things are going to heat up. Liko, Roy, and their tech-savvy friend Dot continue chasing leads about Laqua and the truth behind Lucius’s mysterious past. At the same time, they’ll be challenged by new rivals and trainers, each with their own intentions and motivations. There’s also a chapter on Tera Training, a special form of training that unlocks even greater powers in Pokémon. The bond between trainers and Pokémon will be tested, and we may finally start to see what makes Laqua so special and why so many people are after it.
Directed by Saori Den, the show is written by Dai Sato, known for his work on classic anime like Cowboy Bebop and Eureka Seven. OLM (Oriental Light and Magic) is the animation studio behind this project, the same people animating Pokémon for years. Liko is voiced by Minori Suzuki in Japanese, alongside Roy, voiced by Yuka Terasaki and Dot is voiced by Kei Shindo.
