The Indian adaptation of Citadel, directed by the team Raj and DK, is a spin-off of the original American series of the same name, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra. There will reportedly be numerous regional adaptations of the series, all of which will be centred on a single central event that will inform every story.
According to IndianExpress, she said, ¡°I don¡¯t think I can give them any advice. They¡¯re such accomplished actors in their own ways. There¡¯s nothing I can say. I met Varun recently at the NMACC event and he was telling me how the shoot is going, how excited he is. There are some really cool threads that connect the other installments with our installment, so we were talking about those.
¡°You¡¯ll find out when you start watching the show how we are all connected to each other. But it¡¯s really fun and I can¡¯t wait to see that. Raj and DK are so amazing, so talented and they¡¯ll bring their own spin to the Indian installment. So I¡¯m very excited,¡± she said.
Richard Madden, who plays Mason Kane in the international series, co-stars with Priyanka Chopra as an elite spy named Nadia Sinh. Richard joined her there, and he gave Varun and Samantha praise as well.
¡°The Indian version of our show has such wonderful, talented cast. Each one is going to be different to the country it ends (in). That¡¯s what is going to be beautiful, everyone¡¯s finding their version. I hope they also have lot of fun doing it,¡± he added.
Citadel will serve as the centrepiece programme that combines with regional programmes starring Matilda De Angelis, Varun Dhawan, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu that are now in development in India and Italy.
According to Pinkvilla, Richard was asked if he is interested in starring in Bollywood. To this Richard replied, "Absolutely. I would like to do something comedic". Hearing his response, Priyanka Chopra then said, 'I'm already thinking about it¡¯.?
Richard also spoke about how he was scared to pull of a train sequence. He said as per Bollywood Hungama,? "The whole sequence happens in a restroom, and obviously then into the train. But that restroom is a tiny space. So I was terrified by it because I thought, how are we going to pull this off? How do you look cool? How do you do it properly? And then that just fed into working with the character, and that¡¯s what we did."
