Pushpa 2 OTT Release Update: Allu Arjun recently headlined a blockbuster actioner which has broken some monumental box office records. The Telugu thriller has so far earned Rs 1736.15 crore at the global box office and is still going strong at the box office. However, it also getting close to its OTT premiere. As per Hindustan Times,?Pushpa 2 will be streaming on Netflix from January 30, 2025. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Other than Allu, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Shanmukh, Satya, Tarak Ponnappa, Ajay, Sritej, Pavani Karanam, Saurabh Sachdeva, Aanchal Munjal, Adithya Menon, Mime Gopi, Brahmaji, Aadukalam Naren, Kalpalatha, Dayanand Reddy, Bindu Chandramouli and Divi Vadthya among others. Sreeleela also made an appearance in the song Kissik.
Pushpa rises to power as a notorious smuggler, taking on corrupt police officer SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. After a series of violent confrontations and betrayals, Pushpa orchestrates a massive sandalwood smuggling operation, striking a deal with the Indian government and international buyers. However, Shekhawat, who is secretly working against Pushpa, disrupts his plans at every turn.
Despite the setbacks, Pushpa successfully manoeuvres the consignment through various obstacles, using clever tricks to outsmart both Shekhawat and his enemies.?As Pushpa's life becomes increasingly dangerous, personal losses strike. His niece is assaulted, leading to a violent showdown with the perpetrators. Meanwhile, Pushpa's plans to get the sandalwood to Japan take a dramatic turn, as Shekhawat tries to block him.
In the end, Pushpa secures the money and makes his ally Siddappa the Chief Minister, but his troubles are far from over. With new enemies, including Bugga Reddy and his powerful connections, Pushpa fights to protect his family, leading to a bloody vengeful climax that sets up even greater challenges.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. It is the second instalment of the Pushpa film series and the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise (2021). Devi Sri Prasad composed the music in the cinematography of Miros?aw Kuba Bro?ek and edited by Naveen Nooli.
Made on a budget of approx. ?400¨C500 crore, Pushpa 2 is easily one of the most expensive Indian films and also one of the longest Indian movies ever made (220 minutes).
The Times of India rated the movie 3.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, ¡°Pushpa 2: The Rule is a sequel that surpasses its predecessor in scale, storytelling, and emotional depth. Though the film has its flaws¡ªlike, a not-so-strong story and over-the-top action sequences¡ªits smart screenplay, brilliant performances, and top-notch production values overshadow these drawbacks.¡±
