Shivangi Lioness OTT Release Date: Anandhi recently starred in this Telugu thriller alongside Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, which arrived in theatres on 7th March this year. Written and directed by Devaraj Bharani Dharan, the film opened to mixed reviews in theatres. Shivangi Lioness is now ready to roar on OTT, and here are five things you need to know about it before streaming.
Shivangi Lioness will be streaming on Aha Tamil starting April 18, 2025. The movie has a runtime of 122 minutes and is rated UA13+.
Sathyabhama (Anandhi) is a strong-minded software engineer who faces harassment at work and unfair treatment from society. Things get worse when she¡¯s suddenly accused of murder. As the police investigate, she tells her story to a smart officer (Varalaxmi Sarathkumar), explaining everything she went through. The film follows how she manages to survive and fight back against all the odds.
The Times of India rated the film 3 out of 5, and a part of their review read, ¡°While Shivangi Lioness takes a bold and distinctive approach to storytelling, its unconventional structure may not appeal to everyone. However, Anandhi¡¯s gripping performance, the relevance of the film¡¯s themes, and the inspiring portrayal of a woman standing up against adversity redeem the experience, making it a compelling, if not entirely flawless, watch.¡±
Shivangi Lioness stars Anandhi in the lead role as Sathyabhama, a software engineer caught in a tough situation. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays a smart and strong police officer, Sarika Singh, who¡¯s in charge of the investigation. John Vijay takes on a key role as Monster K. The cast also includes Koya Kishore and Akshara Nunna, with Akshara playing a CBI officer named Rani.
Shivangi Lioness is produced by Naresh Babu Panchumarthi, with music composed by A.H. Kaashif and editing handled by Samjith Mohammed. The visuals were captured by cinematographer Bharani K Dharan, while Raghu Kulakarni shaped the look of the sets as the art director. Jayalakshmi Sundaresan designed the costumes, and J.R. Ethiraj worked on special effects. Sound design and audiography were done by J. Raghava Charan.
Thokala Venkata Kishore served as the executive producer, and Karthik Konanki took care of on-ground production as the line producer. Direction support came from chief co-director Jagadeesh Babu Sirigineni, co-director Harikrishna Maddineni, and associate directors S. Syed Basha and Bharathi Mani. The stunt scenes were directed by Ravi Yendluri with sound work by Samba Rao Adde.
