Sima Aunty From Mumbai Has A New Fan! Deepika Padukone Admits Binge-Watching 'Indian Matchmaking'
Currently, Deepika Padukone is preoccupied with multiple projects at once. She recently stunned her followers by hosting an unexpected Instagram AMA (Ask Me Anything) session.
The actress joyfully responded to some of her admirers' inquiries. Deepika also disclosed that she is now binge-watching Sima Taparia's controversial show Indian Matchmaking.
Deepika Padukone's fans also asked about her favorite cartoon.
The actress excitedly shared that it is Scooby Doo without any hesitation. Deepika even sang a few lines of the enduring theme song for the animated series.
Indian Matchmaking
A Smriti Mundhra-produced 2020 Indian reality television programme titled "Indian Matchmaking" debuted on Netflix on July 16, 2020. Netflix picked up the show for a second season in August 2021. The third season of the show was ordered by Netflix in March 2022, and it debuted in April 2023.
Talking about the controversial show, Smriti said, ¡°If you are any kind of filmmaker or artist the greatest aim of your work is to elicit strong reactions. It's great when your work is loved but it is just as valuable when it becomes controversial or debated. No matter at what end of the spectrum people fall, hardly anyone has told me that it's inaccurate. Because of the show, we are actually debating where we are and where we have to be culturally. "
She continued, "If that show becomes a flashpoint and a lens for the same, then it's a great debate to have when it comes to marriage and relationships. That is how culture changes and how we evolve. "?
?She concluded by saying, " If Indian Matchmaking played any role in that, it makes me proud."

Deepika is now in the middle of filming Siddharth Anand's forthcoming aerial action movie Fighter. Deepika and Hrithik Roshan will co-star in the movie for the first time. The fascinating movie will likely be released in theaters in January 2024.
Aside from that, the chubby beauty will make her Telugu debut in the eagerly anticipated sci-fi thriller Project K. Alongside the pan-Indian superstar Prabhas, Deepika will have a significant role in the movie directed by Nag Ashwin, who is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed Mahanati. Project K will debut in five languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, within the first half of 2024.
