Sivarapalli OTT Release Details: This much-awaited Telugu original comedy-drama series is a remake of the popular show Panchayat. Headlined by Rag Mayur, the announcement was recently made with the release of the first look poster and a trailer giving a sneak peek into the series¡¯ slice-of-life appeal. Sivarapalli is gearing up to premiere on Prime Video from January 24, 2025.
Sivarapalli follows the story of Shyam, an engineering graduate from Hyderabad, who reluctantly accepts a job as the Panchayat Secretary in a remote village in Telangana. The show depicts his struggles, misadventures, and his efforts to adapt to the quirks of rural life. It is a light-hearted, heartwarming tale that captures the essence of rural India and will help you relive the magic of Panchayat.
This eight-episodic series features a talented ensemble including Rag alongside Muralidhar Goud, Rupa Lakshmi, Uday Gurrala, Sunny Palle, and Pavani Karanam. Directed by Bhaskhar Maurya and written by Shanmukha Prashanth, Sivarapalli is produced under the banner of The Viral Fever (TVF). The show will stream in over 240 countries and territories in Telugu with English subtitles.
For the unversed, the original Hindi version of Panchayat, starring Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghuvir Yadav, recently returned with Season 3 in 2024, and a fourth season is already in production. The Tamil remake of the same titled Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam premiered on Prime Video in September 2024.
