Amidst this, director Vivek Agnihotri reacted on X (formerly Twitter) to the fact that the stadium can only hold 50,000 people, but 8 lakh people are waiting in line for tickets on BMS (BookMyShow).
Taking to X, the Kashmir Files director wrote, ¡°8 lakh people in the online queue to buy tickets of the Coldplay concert in a stadium with 50 thousand capacity. Sorry, iPhone 16.¡±
Meanwhile, #BookMyShow has been trending on X and fans have been sharing screenshots of the site crashing. This has triggered an absolute meme fest on X and everyone¡¯s feeds are filled with nothing but chatter around the Coldplay concert.?
The event is a component of Coldplay's hugely popular Music of the Spheres World Tour. The band, which consists of drummer Will Champion, bassist Guy Berryman, guitarist Jonny Buckland, and lead vocalist Chris Martin, last played in India in 2016 at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. The band's performances are scheduled for Saturday, January 18, and Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
