Fey, along with her 30 Rock co-creators Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, wrote and produced this eight-episode series. ¡°I hope it feels like we¡¯re inviting people into a cosy, fun space where they can relax and laugh along with us,¡± Fey shared with Tudum. ¡°We want the audience to feel the warmth and joy we all share while making this show.¡±
The series centres around six old friends who go on a weekend getaway. But their peaceful retreat is shaken when they find out one couple is about to break up. The three couples¡ªKate (Fey) and Jack (Forte), Nick (Carell) and Anne (Kenney-Silver), and Danny (Domingo) and Claude (Calvani) are left reeling by the news.
Over a year, we follow them on four different vacations and see how this news shakes up their friendships and relationships, bringing old issues and new tensions to the surface. Steve Carell shares, ¡°It feels so real like these characters have known each other for years. The chemistry between them feels natural, and the way they interact with each other is funny in that way that only close friends can be.¡±
