The Instigators OTT release date: Matt Damon and Casey Affleck’s heist-thriller called The Instigators is going to land on OTT very soon. The movie created by Doug Liman, will enthrall everyone with its compelling cast and gripping plot. The Instigators has been written by Chuck Maclean and Affleck. The film also stars Hong Chau, Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, Toby Jones, Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman. The Instigators will be released on AppleTV+ on 9th August 2024.

The Instigators plot

Reluctant accomplices Rory (Matt Damon) and Cobby (Casey Affleck) are an ex-con and a needy father teamed together to steal the illicit profits of a dishonest politician. However, when the heist goes awry, the two find themselves caught up in a tornado of mayhem, being hunted by resentful crime leaders and archaic bureaucrats in addition to the police. They are so out of their element that they persuade Rory's therapist, Hong Chau, to accompany them on their wild escape across the city, where they have to set aside their disagreements and cooperate in order to avoid being caught or worse.?

NFL legend Rob Gronkowski’s cameo in The Instigators

Rob Gronkowski, a former football player, is scheduled to make a special appearance, and Damon and Affleck are thrilled about it. According to the two, Affleck initially considered Gronk for the role of his unnamed character. The former athlete, who spent nine seasons playing for the New England Patriots, has a large following base among the stars.?

They told Entertainment Weekly, “Devin Walsh, our producer called him up and, and got him here,” Affleck told the outlet. “He really thought he was going to be in it more.”

“He was only there for, you know, a certain amount of time,” Affleck added. “Everybody loves [Gronk].”
