With the upcoming spy thriller series "Mukhbir - The Story of a Spy," starring veteran actors Prakash Raj, Adil Hussain and Harsh Chhaya, a trailer was released on Monday.
The series, which is directed by Shivam Nair and Jayprad Desai, tells the tale of an Indian secret agent in Pakistan who stepped up to save his country and change the course of the war.

The opening sequence of the trailer, which takes place at the India-Pakistan border in 1965, months before the war begins, has Adil Hussain telling Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri that Pakistan's acquisition of Patton Tanks is dreadful news for India. The Indian operatives in Pakistan are not available to spy on and learn what the intelligence reports have to say about it, the Prime Minister is informed. The "asset" that intelligence officer Bhagat reveals can then be used to the nation's advantage.?
A small-time burglar and spy named Kamran Baksh are tasked with travelling covertly to Pakistan as India's mukhbir in the proxy war. Kamran combines espionage and a little bit of romance while in Pakistan, but work quickly takes precedence. Kamran needs to know what Pakistan's plans are in order for India to be able to stop them. The true challenge is preventing yourself from getting sucked into the action.

As Reported by IANS,?The actor said, "Mukhbir celebrates the bravery and the sacrifices of the unsung heroes of India, the spies and I am glad to be a part of such a remarkable project. These spies go unnoticed despite their silent but monumental work and hence, Mukhbir is our tribute to their selfless efforts."
Adil Hussain also stated, "I am especially inclined towards stories which move the viewers and inspire them to go beyond the ordinary. 'Mukhbir' is one such story which will appeal to every Indian across the globe. Also, it was exciting to work with the talented director duo of Shivam Nair and Jayprad Desai who have notable experience and expertise in this genre."
Zain Khan Durrani, Barkha Sengupta, Zoya Afroz, Satyadeep Mishra, and Karan Oberoi are also featured in the series.The Victor Tango Entertainment-produced series pays homage to those unsung heroes who toil in the background and sacrifice their lives for the security of the nation.
Zee5 will begin streaming the eight-episode series on November 11.
