UnBroken OTT Release Date: A heart-wrenching real-life account of survival and strength, this upcoming documentary is set to premiere globally on April 23, 2025, on Netflix. UnBroken tells the powerful story of seven Jewish siblings who survived Nazi Germany, emerging powerful out of one of historyĄŻs darkest periods through courage, unity, and the kindness of strangers.
UnBroken recounts the extraordinary true story of seven siblings from the Weber family who survived the Holocaust. As Jewish children in Nazi Germany, they were separated from their parents and placed with foster families, surviving under new names and false identities.
The documentary explores their long road through fear, hiding, and trauma, and how they ultimately managed to reconnect and rebuild their lives. Told through personal interviews, historical footage, and emotional narration, the film also sheds light on ordinary people, some Jewish and some not, who risked their lives to help the children survive.
UnBroken is directed and written by Beth Lane, the daughter of Bela Weber, the youngest of the seven siblings. This documentary marks LaneĄŻs directorial debut and stems from her personal commitment to tell her family's story with honesty and care. She began developing the project in 2017 after attending UCLAĄŻs School of Theatre, Film & Television.
Lane is supported by co-writer and editor Aaron Soffin. Jonathan Snipes composed the original score, and Olivia Aquilina served as director of photography. The documentary is produced by a team of executive producers, including Doug Prochilo, Angus Wall, Andy Hall, Jennifer Sofio Hall, Barbara Gerson, Mark Gerson, Jen Lane Landolt, Mark Landolt, and Joel Moody. UnBroken is distributed by Greenwich Entertainment.
