Uruku Patela OTT release date Prime Video: When to watch this Tejus Kancherla and Khushboo’s romantic comedy

If you are looking for a weekend filled with a perfect blend of romance and comedy, we got you covered. Tejus Kancherla and Khushboo Choudhary’s recently released Telugu thriller is all set for its digital premiere. Uruku Patela will start to stream on Prime Video on October 11. Directed by Vivek Reddy, this film was released theatrically on September 7 this year.

Plot

Uruku Patela’s is set in a remote Telangana village where Patela (Tejus) is an educated and good-for-nothing youngster who only wastes his time. At the time when Patela expresses his wish to marry a well-educated girl, Dr Akshara (Khushboo) agrees but why does she agree? How is Patela’s life shaped after the woman’s entry and what their father and village Sarpanch, Goparaju Ramana have to do with the narrative? Find all answers on Prime Video tomorrow.

Cast and crew

Other than Tejus and Khushboo, Uruku Patela also stars Goparaju Ramana, Chammak Chandra, Jay Chandra, Sudharshan, and Lavanya Reddy among others. Produced by Kancherla Bala Bhanu, the cinematography of the film has been done by Sunny Kurapati under the editing of Sasank Vupputuri. Pravin Lakkaraju has composed the music for this film.

“Uruku Patela is a film that the whole family can enjoy together. It’s filled with humour. Inspired by various superstitions I read about during the lockdown, we crafted this story as a blend of thriller and comedy for complete entertainment,” Tejus Kancherla revealed during a media event where he also spoke about his desire to direct and produce movies in future.
