Kannada star Sriimurali recently saw his first release in almost three years titled Bagheera. The movie arrived in the theatres on October 31 and is based on a plot line created by Ugramm, KGF and Salaar maker Prashanth Neel. While you enjoy the magic of this superhero saga on the big screen, we are here to tell you that Bagheera will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run.
The streaming giant has been previously accused of ignoring Kannada cinema but this deal seems to have shut all such claims. However, despite Hombale Films cracking this deal, there might be a case that it was sold as a Telugu original with Prashanth Neel¡¯s name attached. Considering a great booking spree and positive reviews, Bagheera is expected to emerge as a festival hit.
The plot is an origin story for the masked vigilante that Sriimurali becomes to advocate justice. Sriimurali¡¯s character in the film is a gold-medal-winning IPS officer whose efforts in removing corruption are limited by his superiors at the station which prompts him to step outside the purview of the law and serve people with justice with a mask on.
Written and directed by Dr Suri, the film also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Prakash Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Garuda Ram, Achyuth Kumar,?Jagapathi Babu, Sudha Rani, Ramachandra Raju, Chikkanna, Avinash Yelandur, Sharath Lohithaswa, Pramod Shetty, Redin Kingsley, and Puneeth Rudranag among others.
