Zwigato OTT release date Prime Video: When to watch this long-awaited Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami starrer

Nandita Das’ award-winning directorial Zwigato was struggling to get a digital home for a really long time and it finally has one. This Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami starrer will start to stream on Prime Video on October 25, 2024,?as revealed by the OTT giant on their official website.?Zwigato saw its debut premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and was theatrically released on 17 March 2023.

Plot

Zwigato revolves around a man named Manas who was previously employed as a floor manager in a factory. After unfortunately losing his job, he takes up the job of a food delivery rider and starts to struggle in a world defined by ratings and incentives. While he struggles to make ends meet, his homemaker wife Pratima starts to explore work opportunities in order to support the household. What unfolds next is a treat for cinema lovers that you can experience on Prime soon.

Cast and Crew

Directed by Nandita Das, Zwigato has been produced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives. Other than Kapil and Shahana, it also stars Gul Panag, Sayani Gupta, Swanand Kirkire, and Tushar Acharya among others. Shot and set in Bhubneshwar, this heartwarming tale has been composed by Hitesh Sonik.

The 69th Filmfare Awards saw three nominations for Zwigato - Critics Best Film and Critics Best Actress. In 2022, Zwigato’s Asian premiere took place at the Busan International Film Festival under their 'A Window of Asian Cinema' in October followed by its Indian premiere at the Kaleidoscope section of the International Film Festival of Kerala in December.

For the unversed, after its theatrical release in March 2023, the Odisha Government also declared Zwigato tax-free across the state.
