Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 released in theaters a few days ago and it stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit in significant roles along with other supporting characters. Although the film may be doing fine at the box office, reviews have not been particularly positive. However, it is undeniable that it had a twist at the end, one that we most likely did not anticipate when the movie was announced. In the last few sequences of the film, viewers awaited the answer to a single question: who is the real Manjulika? If you have watched the film (or not) and want to know more about it, then read on!
(Spoiler alert, you know what to do!)
Who is the real Manjulika? Not Malika or Mandira, it was somebody else the entire time. Because they couldn't bear the thought of their half brother Debendra (played by Kartik Aaryan) inheriting the throne, especially since he was born out of wedlock, the sisters (played by Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit) planned to kill him. But, the night they attempted to murder the prince, they discovered that he was trangender or wanted to embrace his feminine nature.?
As it happens, Debendra had no interest in the throne. He always felt stuck in his masculine body and wanted to dance. The sisters choose to take advantage of this tendency and turn against him when they witnessed it. Malika went on to create a scene in front of the entire court, telling her father to come witness his son's reality. The king is forced to order the court to covertly kill his son after getting to know the reality.?
So the answer to the question - Debendra was actually Manjulika and it was his ghost who was haunting everyone because of his tragic death.
Given that Kartik plays two roles, it is reasonable to assume that while Debendra, his character, has died, Rooh Baba is still alive.?
