On its seventh day since its January 25 release, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's movie Fighter shows no signs of improvement and keeps slowing down at the domestic box office.?
Early estimates on Sacnilk.com state that the movie made about ?6.35 crore nett on Wednesday in India. This is approximately Rs 1.15 crore less than the movie's Tuesday earnings of Rs 7.5 crore nett.
Talking about the same,? Taran Adarsh tweeted recently, "FIGHTER¡¯ shocks India, rocks overseas¡ The underperformance of Fighter has sent shock waves within the industry¡ Imagine, the film ticks all the boxes - right from star names and director¡¯s credentials to tremendous critical acclaim and positive audience feedback¡ Yet, the dwindling numbers in #India are a complete shocker.¡±
He went on to add, "To face a setback at the very start of the year is indeed worrisome. Having said that, while the numbers are witnessing a downward trend in #India, the biz in key international markets continue to be strong, *even on weekdays¡ Markets like #USA, Canada, Australia and NZ (New Zealand) are still holding fort, even after an excellent weekend. How does one explain this paradox?"
He told Film Companion,? ¡°I had to do three transformations, one just to check if I still have the ability before the film started, then did another when the film was on the floor, and then they had to cancel the shoot because of the weather conditions where they had to shoot. Then, I went on my summer break with my boys and when I came back I had to do the third transformation in 6-8 weeks. It was incredibly difficult and I had to shoot three songs back to back while I was doing transformation, which meant there was no fuel and I was just running on steam. ¡±
