Nawazuddin Reveals It Took Three Hours Of Makeup For His 'Haddi' Look, Shares Transformation Clip

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has owned and aced every character that he has taken up. His versatility and dedication have impressed both audiences and filmmakers alike. A recent video that he shared of his transformation will surely make you respect the actor more.

Revealing that it takes him three hours to get into his character for the film Haddi, Nawazuddin has shared a BTS clip.

Haddi is an Ajay Sharma directorial where Nawaz plays the role of a transgender. Produced under the banner of Zee Studios by Sanjay Saha, and Raadhika Nanda, the story has been co-written by Adamya Bhalla alongside Ajay. Sharing the transformation video, Nawaz wrote, “Here’s a sneak peek into my transformation in #Haddi.”

As per IMDb, Haddi follows a tale of a small-town boy Hari, who has this desire of becoming a woman. It also shows a brief history of Indian Transgenders. Earlier in November, the Manjhi actor shared a picture from Haddi’s sets and wrote on Twitter, “Working with real-life trans women has been an incredible experience in Haddi. Their presence was empowering.”?

Nawazuddin in an earlier interview talked about his prep for Haddi and clarified that Laila Saran, his Heropanti’s character was a cis man with feminine traits whereas in Haddi he’s playing a trans person.

He told News 18, “I’m working with a lot of trans-people in Haddi. I was in an environment with 20-25 of them. Their way of looking at the world is completely different. That was really interesting. I learned so much about their journeys. I don’t want my character to look like a caricature. I want to feel the character in my bones rather than just enact the part. And that is why I decided to stay with them (trans-people). I’m looking forward to seeing how it shapes up eventually.”

Recently Nawab opened up about the difference between Bollywood’s Khans, Salman and Shah Rukh.

He told ETimes, “The best part of working with Shah Rukh Khan was that we got to do a lot of rehearsals. Even when the team would think that a particular scene should be redone, we would shoot it again. With Salman bhai, the experience is different. He’s so generous as an actor that he will give his best dialogue to you to say. He’ll be with you in front of the camera and say, ‘Ye le, ye dialogue tu bol le yaar’. I enjoyed working with bhai a lot.”
