After making Bollywood lovers wait for close to two decades, makers may have finally given in to the temptation of working on a Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001) sequel.?

Starring Dia Mirza and R.Madhavan in lead roles, the film gradually gained a cult status. From its music to Dia and Madhavan's on-screen chemistry, fans somehow haven't gotten over the film at all.?

According to a Mid-Day report, makers have almost locked a script and have also gotten in touch with the actors to reprise their roles.The report quotes a source as saying,

"The makers toyed with some concepts, on and off, over the years. Only now have they found a script that has appealed to everyone and seems a natural progression to the lives of Maddy and Reena [the characters essayed by Madhavan and Mirza respectively]. The script is in the final stage of development."

The report hints that the storyline of the sequel will explore Reena and Maddy's post-marital journey and how disillusionment starts to replace love in their marriage.?
