'Agneepath' Actor Shares Horrific Details Of A Train Accident & Running Out Of Work And Funds!

The pandemic-forced Lockdown has made lives difficult for many. Veteran actor Resham, who played a doctor in 'Agneepath'and the jailor in 'Khuda Gawah' is facing challenging situations in his life.?

Apart from running out of work, his deteriorating health has made things difficult for him.?

In a recent interview, Resham Arora shared his ordeal with TimesofIndia.com and said,?

“There is absolutely no work for me. This has been the state ever since the lockdown began. While people say 'cheezein khul rahi hai (things are opening up now),' I still don't see sufficient work opportunities available.”

He added that things were okay till the time he was healthy. After meeting with an accident, he faced severe complications in his life.?

He said,“I fell off a train a couple of years ago and then was bitten in the leg by some strange insect at a shoot for Ashwini Dheer's show 'Chidiya Ghar,' which hindered my movement for some time. Being in a precarious condition, tragedy further struck me when my wife's eyesight started deteriorating; she contracted acute glaucoma."?

The actor has now urged CINTAA and people from the fraternity to help him.?

"I am seriously in need of work. CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association) has helped me a bit, but that's not enough to keep us in good condition. I am broke. I need financial aid."?

71-year-old Resham has spent a large chunk of his life doing movies and shows but never got the limelight that a lead star would get.?

While TV stints were helping him financially, things have suddenly turned more difficult because he's out of work.
