Anil Kapoor Hints At Possibility Of ‘Mr India’ Sequel, Says It’ll Follow Sridevi & Amrish Puri’s Legacies

Mr. India is one of the cult films that Hindi film industry had produced, and we’ll all agree with that. The movie was way ahead of its time. After all, it was based on the concept on invisibility that Indians hadn’t seen in films so far.

The movie also caught the fancy of the kids, including us. I mean, haven’t we all shouted “Calendar khana do” on dinner table, at least once in our lives? We have a lot of childhood memories attached to the movie, of course.

Last year, it was announced that Mr India 2 AKA Mr India’s sequel is the works. It was also being said that Sridevi will start working on the project once she is done with the shooting of Mom. Her untimely and sudden death was unexpected.

Will Mr. India sequel still happen? Anil Kapoor was asked about the same. “Every film has its own destiny. When it's gonna happen it is going happen."

Remembering Sridevi, an emotional Kapoor said, "Now, obviously (no). We will miss her (Sridevi) and Amrish Puri, the Mogambo. But life goes on. We miss all of them.”

“We will try our best to follow their legacies so that we can make them proud that we made good films and they all appreciate what we have done.”

The actor has recently completed 35 Jhakaas years in the industry. He is also basking in the success of Race 3. Anil Kapoor is now looking forward for the release of Fanney Khan.
