Television's ex-Naagin Mouni Roy played the villainous character 'Junoon,' in the Ayan Mukerji directorial, which not only broke Bollywood’s dry spell but also went on to mint over a staggering Rs 200 crore after its release on September 9, 2022.?

While there are many reasons to celebrate the film starring Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, it's Shah Rukh Khan and especially actress Mouni Roy who is grabbing all the attention for their performances in the VFX-loaded fantasy action adventure movie.?

Praising Mouni Roy for her stunning performance in Brahmastra, 'Pavitra Rishta' actress Ankita Lokhande shared the film poster featuring Mouni's character 'Junoon' on her Instagram Story and penned, "Dear Mouni watched Brahmastra yesterday and ur performance was fantastic and absolutely up to the mark. u made us proud. Keep it up and keep growing Lots love and success to u."

Soon after, Mouni re-shared Ankita's IG story and expressed her gratitude to the actress by saying, "Thank You so much Ankita, Lots of love back."

According to social media, Mouni Roy absolutely nailed her performance in Ayan Mukerji's magnum opus that took almost 10 years to come to life on the silver screen.?

Some even said that Mouni's terrific performance in proves that the television industry has talent superior to what people are forced to see in the Hindi film industry now.?

"Mouni roy's terrific performance in brahmastra is such a reminder that our television industry has absolutely talent superior to what we're forced to see in films now, the question has always been about opportunities," a fan wrote on Twitter.?

During an interview with News18, Mouni Roy said, “I truly feel blessed and grateful. I didn’t imagine such a reaction. I didn’t think I would get so much of love, adulation and respect for playing Junoon.” She further spoke of the #BoycottBrahmastra trend and said that it didn’t bother her however, she would wonder why somebody would judge the film without even watching it.?

"If you watch it and then don’t like it, you can express so. But these are all phantom people, who are hiding behind their screens. They don’t have anything else to do and have surplus amount of time. So, they waste it doing these things,” Mouni Roy said.

Meanwhile, people have liked Shah Rukh Khan's performance so much that they are now demanding a spin-off for 'Vanarastra.' Even Ayan Mukerji has confirmed that SRK's presence will not be limited to Part One, but he'll be back to entertain his fans in the next of his 'Brahmastra' trilogy.?
