Anurag Kashyap Regrets Not Collaborating With SSR Despite His Request Weeks Before His Death

During an interview with Showsha, Anurag revealed that he regrets not collaborating with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput despite his request for a project weeks before his death.?

Moreover, after Sushant's death, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he had refused to speak with actor Sushant Singh regarding a project as the Kai Po Che' actor had ghosted him in the past.?

According to the media outlet, Anurag even expressed that it took him over '1.5 years of sickness' to realize that he reacted that way because of his anger. The director also said that as soon as he realized, he stepped back and introspected what was bothering him.?

“I was so reactive; I would say things. I would say things out of anger, out of reaction, to things I felt perturbed by. It took me time to realize that I’m shouting, I’m shouting in a room full of people shouting. Nobody’s listening to each other, not just to me. That’s what social media has become. And I stepped back. I said, ‘Why am I reacting to this? What is bothering me?'” Anurag was quoted as saying.?

Anurag admitted that he felt bad when he came to learn about SSR's sudden death as someone had tried to reach out to him just 3 weeks before the incident as the later actor wanted to talk to him.?

Anurag was upset as Sushant Singh Rajput had earlier ghosted him.?"You get pangs of guilt," he was further quoted saying.?

On the work front, Anurag Kashyap's last release was the sci-fi mystery thriller titled 'Dobaaraa' starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role alongside Pavail Gulati. The film was released on August 19, 2022, but did not perform well at the box office.?
