Anurag Kashyap Reveals He Rejected 'Asoka', Shares Why Shah Rukh Khan Has Given Up On Him
Did you know Anurag Kashyap was once arrested for being too drunk? Or that Shah Rukh Khan who is his senior from Delhi's Hansraj College has almost given up on him, or that he once downloaded the dating app Tinder and saw his manager and filmmaker Guneet Monga on it, so he immediately deleted it?
In a recent interview, Kashyap got candid and revealed some fun secrets about himself. He revealed how he once signed up for a dating app but ended up deleting it minutes later.?

"I had downloaded Tinder and it first showed me my manager and the next person it showed me was Guneet Monga. I deleted it after. Mere apne logon ko dikhara tha."?
Kashyap also shared he was once arrested for being drunk
This happened when Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat director landed in Saudi Arabia. "There were no flights from Denmark due to volcanic ash. I was very exhausted and I had wine and I went, took the ticket and I had to wait five hours. I went to the lounge and started drinking because I wanted to pass out. I sat in the flight and I passed out. I landed in Saudi, they arrested me because I walked on the land of Saudi totally drunk. They started questioning me. Luckily I had my phone and I sent a text to Ronnie Screwala." He was terrified because he also had a bag of pork sausages.?
Jet Airways, however, saved Kashyap.?
The Gangs Of Wasseypur filmmaker had a flight with Jet Airways. The authorities came to his rescue. The flight was delayed by three hours as they refused to take off without him.?
Kashyap also revealed why Shah Rukh Khan has almost given up on him.?
"Woh to mere college ke senior hain. Unka phone ata hai toh main phone attend karne ke liye khada ho jata hoon (Shah Rukh is my senior from college, I stand up and take his call, whenever he calls me)... He has given up on me. Unko lagta hai ki mujhe kuch samajh nahi ayega, mera kuch nahi ho sakta (Shah Rukh thinks I do not understand things). He is like a big brother, who keeps telling me what I must not do. He told me why I should not say somethings, why should I not be on Twitter."
Anurag had taken a break from Twitter after clash of students and Police over Citizenship Amendment Act.
He also shared why he hasn't worked with SRK as of now and why he rejected Asoka.?
"Mere ko har cheeze ke bare mein bola unhone, filmein bhi. Pehle Asoka ayi thi mere paas likhne ke liye. Unke bohut sare aese projects ate then, par main tabhi se thoda avoid karta tha. Woh Shah Rukh Khan hai, unka ek stardom hai, ek worldview hai. Main jaisi film banana chahta hoon, mujhe wahi banana hai. It is not just him, everybody, who cares about me, wants me to see life the way they see it. Aap bole na saving nahi karte ho, practical kyun nahi hote ho, everything that a normal person should do or must do in the eyes of the world, woh (Shah Rukh) bhi waise hai, sab waise hai. Mujhe waise jena hi nahi hai (Shah Rukh has given me advice on many things, A lot of his films were first offered to me as a write, including Asoka. But I have always avoided them as Shah Rukh has a worldview, stardom, and I cannot make films that do him justice. I want to make films my way. Like others, who care for me and want me to save money or become more practical, Shah Rukh, too, has tried, but I want to live my life my way)..." he revealed in the recent episode of Unfiltered with Samdish.
