Have you ever been ghosted? If you have, you know the pain that comes with that provides us with no closure. Something similar happened with Indian film director Anurag Kashyap. During a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Gangs of Wasseypur revealed that he was supposed to direct Salman Khan in 'Tere Naam'.
However, he asked the Bollywood star to grow chest hair but the producer did not appreciate that.
¡°I was not asked to leave Tere Naam, the film ghosted on me. I asked Salman a certain thing, after that nobody got back to me. I didn¡¯t not even know when the film started shooting, and what happened," he said.
The film was directed by late director-actor Satish Kaushik. Anurag added that Kaushik had no idea about Anurag's earlier involvement with the project.?
¡°Even Satish ji didn¡¯t know that I was supposed to be a part of it. I was very involved, scripting was done. We were about to start the shoot. I just asked Salman to grow chest hair and he also didn¡¯t say anything. It was the producer who reacted," he added.?
He also revealed that he has not met Salman Khan in 20 years. 'Tere Naam' released in 2003.?
¡°I¡¯ve never met him since then. I have come across him once or twice and said ¡®hello¡¯," he revealed. He also said that his favourite Salman films are Sultan, Dabangg, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.?
Salman Khan has worked with Kashyap's brother Abhinav Kashyap who directed the actor in the superhit film Dabangg. The film won a National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.?
