Arijit Singh was singing the famous Raees song Zaalima during a concert in Dubai. However, the singer was unaware of the fact that Mahira Khan, the actor the song was based on, was seated just in front of them at the same event. Shortly after, the singer apologized and gave her a shoutout after failing to recognise her.?
In the video that has gone viral Arijit Singh can be seen saying about Mahira Khan "You guys must be surprised, should I reveal? I should reveal it in a very nice way. Can we have the camera there? I was trying to recognise this person, then remembered I had sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan is sitting right in front of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it¡¯s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn¡¯t recognise her. I am so sorry. Ma'am gratitude and thank you so much.¡±

?For those who are unaware, Mahira Khan and Salim Karim were married in October of last year. It was her second marriage. In the past, she wed Ali Askari in 2007; they divorced in 2015. Azlaan, their 13-year-old son, is their child.
