In an attempt to entertain you and lighten your stress and isolation blues, while you work from home amid these tough times and to also raise funds for those who are in need, Bollywood singers from the industry have come together for live concerts from home.
As part of Sangeet Setu, 18 veteran singers performed on Doordarshan for audiences and collected funds for Coronavirus outbreak relief.?
The concert included line-up by veteran singers -- Alka Yagnik, Kumar Shanu, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Salim Merchant, Shaan, Kailash Kher, Asha Bhosle, S P Balasubramanyam, K J Yesudas, Udit Narayan, Anoop Jalota, Pankaj Udhas, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sudesh Bhosale, Suresh Wadkar and Talat Aziz -- who made themselves available for national service.?
"Through this concert, we will raise donations for the government. When it's (pandemic) behind us, we will do more concerts to raise funds for rehabilitation,"Sudesh Bhosale told Mumbai Mirror.
The three-day charitable concert had taken place between April 10-12. The concert was hosted by Akshay Kumar.
Meanwhile, artists like Armaan Malik, Neha Kakkar and Honey Singh among others performed at the digital initiative 'The Care Concert organised by T-Series and 93.5 RED FM. In this stellar line-up of 15 plus artists who performed from home, people were urged to contribute to PM CARES Fund through a link provided for the donations.?
