Comedian-actor Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on Wednesday and was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi.?
According to reports, the comedian-turned-politician has undergone angioplasty (a procedure to widen blocked or narrowed coronary arteries) and is currently on ventilator support.?
Reports suggest that Raju was in the coronary care unit (CCU) at AIIMS. "Srivastava had to be resuscitated thrice. He was rushed to catheterisation lab and underwent angioplasty. He has been admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU)," a source was quoted as saying by PTI.?
Elaborating on the comedian's health condition, sources told India Today that "Raju Srivastava's angiography showed a 100 percent blockage in a major vessel."?
Recently, the entertainment industry has lost many talented artists, who died after suffering heart attacks. TV's popular star Sidharth Shukla and Bollywood's versatile singer KK, both died of heart attack.?
Like Raju,?Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar too suffered a heart attack while working out in gym last year in?October. However, he was not as lucky as Raju. The actor passed away leaving his fans, friends and family shocked with his untimely demise.??
