Dulquer Salmaan And Sonam Kapoor To Romance In 'The Zoya Factor' & We're Super Excited!

This year looks like a year of exciting announcements and a fresh one has just dropped in. In a first, Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan will be seen romancing in an upcoming film called The Zoya Factor. The film will be a cinematic adaptation of a book by the same name by Anuja Chauhan.?

While the reports of Sonam and Dulquer collaborating for a film were going on for a long time, both the actors took to Twitter today to confirm the news.?

The film will be a rom-com against the backdrop of Cricket and is likely to be helmed by Abhishek Sharma.?

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Abhishek had said,

"Cricket woven into a rom-com and touching on superstition and luck, it’s an amazing book for a screen adaptation. The book has many layers, characters, and tracks.”?

And he also revealed that the makers want to cast Sonam to play someone as bubbly as the character of Zoya in the film. Dulquer will be seen playing the role of Nikhil Khoda, the Captain of Indian Cricket team.

Reports further claim that the director had decided to rope in Dulquer after watching the trailer of OK Kanmani, which he found impressive. He was quoted in the same report as saying,
