Hours after the highly anticipated movie of the year, Dunki, was released, it was leaked by the notorious torrent website Tamilrockers. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer movie was available for free download on the website. As per reports, the Rajkumar Hirani directorial is also available on several telegram channels.
The film was also available for free download on websites like 123movies, Filmyzilla, filmywap and mp4movies among other websites. Not just Dunki, earlier movies like Sam Bahadur, Animal, Leo, Tiger 3, Jawan and Jailer were also leaked.?
The movie which also stars Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Taapsee Pannu in prominent roles has been released today on December 21. The first show in India was at 5:55 am. Dunki has so far received positive reviews from the audience. People are hailing the movie as Hirani's best so far and Shah Rukh's best performance after Swades.?
Tamilrockers is a bootleg recording network that was reportedly founded in 2011. Later, it became a public torrent website that would leak Tamil movies, Hindi movies, and even dubbed Hollywood films in different Indian languages in original English audio.
In 2018, Police arrested three men, including the administrator, who were working for the website. They were nabbed after police tracked one of the emails that mentioned Tamilrockers. The next year, more people were arrested from Tamil Nadu.?
In 2020, the site went offline. Everyone thought this was the end of Tamilrockers. However, it came back after a while. Since then, there have been many clones on the website as well.?
Tamilrockers have even appeared in movies. There was a movie named after the torrent site which starred Premgi Amaren.?A web series titled Tamil Rockerz based on the torrent site starring Arun Vijay and Vani Bhojan was released on SonyLiv in 2022.
