FIR Against Milind Soman: Actor Booked In Goa For Circulating His 'Obscene' Nude Picture

What exactly happened to freedom of expression in India??

The South Goa district police have registered a complaint against?model-actor-fitness promoter Milind Soman, under IPC Section 294 (Obscene acts and songs) and 67 (Punishment for publishing/transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act for his social media post where he was seen sprinting naked at a Goa beach.??

?“A case has been registered at Colva police station under IPC Section 294 (obscene acts and songs) and Section 67 of IT Act (publishing and transmitting obscene material in electronic form) against actor Milind Soman,” South Goa SP Pankaj Singh said.

“He has used Goa for is cheap publicity and acted foolishly on a public beach.?How does one just run naked on a beach?”?Sameer Khutwalker, president of Goa Suraksha Manch and complainant in the case, said.??

Later, he said, “I am happy he was booked. The State must fight it. We just pushed for it so that the issue comes up.”??

Earlier this week, actress Ponam Panday and her husband were booked for the exact same offense: obscenity at a restricted government site but was granted bail the same day.?
