Following The Surgical Strikes, Indian Film Body Bans Pakistani Actors 'Forever'

Looks like the tension between India and Pakistan is clearly affecting the movie industry, and the artists working in it. Yesterday, we got to know that Pakistani actors had been banned temporarily from working in the country. But according to the latest report by PTI, they've been banned 'forever'. Yes!

Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has now passed a resolution in the wake of the Uri attacks, which bans Pakistani actors from working in the Indian film industry forever.?

“IMPPA in their 87th annual general meeting passed (a resolution that) no Pakistani will be hired by their producer members forever,” producer TP Aggarwal, the president of IMPPA, said.

This decision comes just a day after the Indian Army announced the surgical strikes across the LoC. Producer Ashoke Pandit, a member of the IMPPA, said, “IMPPA paid homage to the martyrs who were killed in Uri. It therefore felt its responsibility towards the nation and passed a resolution banning Pakistani Actors & technicians in India till normalcy returns. For IMPPA, nation comes first.”
