Govinda has spoken for the first time after accidentally shooting himself with his own revolver at around 4:45 in the morning of October 1. The actor got emotional as he shared a voice note from his hospital bed to ensure his fans and followers that he was doing fine. Besides providing a health update and thanking fans and well-wishers for their outpouring of support, he also addressed the unfortunate mishap.??

"Namaskar, pranam, mai hun Govinda. Aap sab logon ke ashirwad aur maa baap ke ashirwad ke wajah se, guru ki kripa ke wajah se mujhe jo goli lagi thi vo nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyawad deta hun yahan ke doctor ka, aadarniya doctor Aggarwal ji ka aur aap sab logon ki prarthana jo hai, aap logon ka dhanyawad, pranam.

(Greetings, namaste, I am Govinda. Due to the blessings of all of you, my parents, and the grace of my guru, the bullet that hit me has been removed. I want to thank the doctors here, especially the respected Dr. Aggarwal, and I am grateful for all your prayers. Thank you all, namaste)."

How did Govinda shoot himself??

Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha revealed what went wrong on the morning of October 1 and how the actor accidentally shot himself. "Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata and was putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it slipped from his hand, and the gun went off, hitting him in the leg. The doctor has removed the bullet, and his condition is stable. He is still in the hospital."

Furthermore, Mumbai Police also confirmed that it wasn't a serious injury. However, he was hospitalised only on precautionary terms.?
