It's the end of an era. For every 90s kid, it was heartbreaking news. The pop sensation Taz from Stereo Nation who made out childhood awesome with songs like Pyar Ho Gaya, Gallan Gorian and Nachenge Saari Raat among others passed away at the age of 56 unexpectedly, leaving everyone in shock and in grief.?
For the unversed, Taz who was known for cross-cultural Asian fusion musicdied after a prolonged illness. He was diagnosed with hernia before Covid-19 had hit the world, but because of the pandemic, he couldn't undergo the surgery. He was then hospitalised last month and had slipped into coma.?
His health was showing improvements. On March 23, his fans were updated that he is doing better and is out of coma now.
"Dear All Taz Sir is no longer in coma, He¡¯s showing improvements every day. The family has thanked everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. When there is more postive news, The family will let us all know. Thanks again for your postive thoughts?? Regards ADMIN - STEREONATION MANAGEMENT (sic)," read a statement that was released on Instagram.?
Meanwhile, other celebrities including Amaal Malik and Adnan Sami also paid heartfelt tribute to the singer.?

Taz, who went by name Johnny Zee during the initial days of his career, is credited for composing hit film songs like Daroo Vich Pyar (Tum Bin), It's magic (Koi Mil Gaya) and Mujhpe to Jadoo (Race) among others. BBC Asia Network also paid tribute to the musician, who they said was instrumental in the evolution of the British Asian music scene."We're deeply saddened by the passing of @tazstereonation , who has played an instrumental part in the British Asian music scene. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans," the post read.?He was the lead singer of the pop band Stereo Nation which was formed in 1996.
