Indian cinema is once again making waves globally, competing with other international film - especially when it comes to box office collections. A film reaching Rs 1000 crore mark at the global box office is a goal. Prabhas-Amitabh Bachchan-Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD?has recently achieved this milestone. However, it's not the only film on the list. The movie is still behind these six Indian films.?
Twenty-five days after its release, the Nag Ashwin directorial has become the third Telugu-origin film and the fourth South Indian movie to achieve the feat. In 24 days, the film collected around Rs 990? crores. On Day 25, it earned over Rs 10 crore, thus crossing the Rs 1000 crore mark.?
Among these Prabhas'?Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was the fastest to cross Rs 1000 crores at the global box office. The film surpassed the milestone in just 10 days of its release in 2017. Nex in line is SS Rajamouli's RRR, which achieved the feat in just 16 days and so did Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2. On third spot is Shah Rukh Khan-Atlee's Jawan, which crosses Rs 1000 crore mark at the global box office in 18 days.?KGF: Chapter 2?did it in 25 days.?SRK's 2023 film Pathaan achieved the feat in 27 days and Aamir Khan's Dangal in 154 days.
Touted as the most expensive film to be produced in India at a reported budget of Rs 600 crore, Kalki 2898 AD also stars Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee and Shobhana. The movie, previously titled Project K, was released worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English
