Kangana Ranaut Takes A Dig At Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Asks Why He Changed His Real Name

Kangana Ranaut, who made her Bollywood debut with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt backed 2006 film 'Gangster' has taken a dig at him on social media.?

The actress posted an old video of Mahesh Bhatt on her social media handle alleging that the Bollywood veteran filmmaker's 'real name’ was not Mahesh.?

The actress, who dares to often speak her mind in front of the media claims that Bhatt's real name is ‘Aslam’ and questioned him why he was hiding his ‘beautiful name’.?

Sharing the old video in a series of clips on her Instagram stories on Sunday, the Manikarnika actress further stated that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt should not represent a ‘certain religion’ by changing his name when he had already ‘converted’ and that he should use his real name 'Aslam' instead.?

Kangana wrote, ‘Mahesh ji is recklessly and poetically inciting people to violence,’ along with the old video clip that shows Mahesh Bhatt giving a speech.?

Sharing another sequence from the same video clip, the Tanu Weds Manu actress wrote, “I am told his (Mahesh Bhatt) real name is Aslam… he converted to marry his second wife (Soni Razdan)… it is a beautiful name, why hide it?” while the Thalaivi actress also posted a third clip with a statement that said, “He must use his real name, not represent a certain religion, when he has converted…”?

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana Ranaut is currently busy with her forthcoming flick Emergency, which is based on the time of Emergency in India when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister.?

Kangana will be portraying the former Prime Minister in the film which she is also directing and producing under her production banner Manikarnika Films.?Emergency will also feature Milind Soman, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry and Shreyas Talpade in crucial roles.? ?
