Starring Janhvi Kapoor, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl?narrates the inspiring tale of India's first female Air Force pilot who was involved in combat. She was just 24 years old when she was a part of more than 40 missions. She was one of six women who joined the Indian Air Force (IAF) as pilots in 1996. During Operation Vijay, she not only helped in the evacuation of the injured but also played a crucial role in mapping enemy positions through several surveillance operations.
Starring?Om Puri, Revathi, Gul Panag, Sanjay Suri and Yashpal Sharma,?Dhoop is roughly based on the life of Captain Anuj Nayyar who died in the southwest sector of Tiger Hill on July 5, 1999?as part of the Kargil conflict and was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra for his bravery in the war.??
