Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam who had earlier commented on the noise pollution that the morning Azaan creates through loudspeakers received backlash from several people across social media.
While he was trolled, there was a fatwa released against him by a Muslim cleric in West Bengal that anyone who shaves Sonu's head will get Rs 10 lakhs.
Sonu, dutifully trying to show a bigger picture, got his head shaved by Hakim Aalim after announcing on Twitter and calling the press.

Speaking to Mid-Day, Sonu said, "I hope this evokes a sense of being reasonable in this country. I am not a left wing or right wing person. I am right in the centre. We need more people who don't just talk aggressive stuff, and make sense." However, he admitted that his family has been concerned over the episode. "Nevaan (son) was shocked to see me like this (shaved head) today. But this had to be done."
After Sonu Nigam shaved his head, Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi, the cleric who issued the fatwa, ¡°Sonu Nigam has not done all the things I asked for, two out of the three things remain unfulfilled.¡±
